About Us
Nut Processors Association is an industry platform and mouthpiece for nut processors especially Macadamia, Cashew and Groundnuts. The Association provides an essential link for co-operation, dialogue and understanding with the Government by promoting trade and investment, upholding standards and representing members' views and concerns to the relevant authorities. NutPAK aims to contribute to sustainable development of tree and groundnut subsector by championing production and marketing issues.

NutPAK is modeled as an industry forum with interest in corporate social responsibility, sustainable livelihoods and environmental conservation. Towards this end, NutPAK is exploring strategic working relations with the following partners: Donor agencies, Government ministries and departments, Research centres, Market development agencies, Value chain development organizations, Development Consulting firms, NGOs and other chain actors in Kenya and globally.

The super goal of NutPAK is to create a context where nut growers become chain partners – i.e. to build the necessary production skills and capacities for improved access to markets. NutPAK has a triple value chain integration focus towards sustainability – People, Planet and Profits (social, ecological and economic sustainability). Our role will ensure that business partnerships are found and strengthened, that expertise is available, and that nuts processing will deliver pro-poor benefits, sustainable returns to processors and economic development as envisaged by Vision 2030 and millennium development goals.
